Objective

Build a program that can identify invasive species of plants that could be implemented to reduce their spread. The initial prototype used three species invasive to the Wissahickon watershed – Garlic Mustard, Japanese Knotweed, and Japanese Stiltgrass.

Results

I presented my project at the Carver Science Fair and won a First Place Medal along with the Geiger Award for Ingenuity.

Reflection

This project taught me how to take a multidisciplinary approach to research, combining both the biological sciences and programming software.
